Conversations are part of our every day existence. Yet, for the most part, we’ve given little attention to how our conversations shape our relationships, our teams, our companies, and our world.

We connect, engage, and lead through conversations.

Rarely are our conversations neutral and without impact. They are often creating trust or distrust. Conversations leave us feeling good or feeling bad. We either connect, bond, grow, and build partnerships with others, or we disengage, protect, or pull away from others.

This pull vs push dynamic affects relationships, partnerships, businesses, teams, companies, and our societies.

Conversational Intelligence® is the key to greater success in life and business. It’s NOT about how smart you are, but how open you are to learn new and effective powerful conversational rituals that prime the brain for trust, partnership, and mutual success.

C-IQ® is a framework for knowing which kind of conversations trigger the lower, more primitive-brain (creating the fight, flight, freeze, or appease modes) versus the kind of conversations that activate higher-level intelligences such as trust, integrity, empathy, and good judgment.

Conversational Intelligence® helps us understand how our brain works (Neuroscience) and how to apply easy-to-use tools, examples, conversational rituals, and practices throughout all levels of an organization.

I have the good fortune to train with Judith E Glaser as part of her first Conversational Intelligence for Coaches program. I am now recognised as a Conversational Intelligence for Coaches Enhanced Skills Coach.

My journey into Conversational Intelligence™ began when I read Judith’s book, Conversational Intelligence: How Great Leaders Build Trust and Get Extraordinary Results. I learned about the “neuroscience of we” and how when applied to business challenges Leaders and their teams are able to raise levels of engagement, collaboration and innovation to positively impact the bottom line.
