The LEGO® Serious Play® Methodology is a facilitated meeting, communication and problem-solving process that leads participants through a series of questions which probe deeper and deeper into the into the subject. Each participant builds their own LEGO® model in response to the facilitator’s questions. These models then serve as a basis for group discussion, knowledge sharing, problem solving and decision making.

The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methodology improves group problem solving. Utilising visual, auditory and kinesthetic skills, it requires participants to listen and learn and provides all participants with a voice.

Why use the Lego® Serious Play® Methodology?

The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methodology:

  • Is a facilitated technique that unlocks the potential of all participants in the workshop

All LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® workshops are group processes designed around a relatively limited number of core concepts.  The models built during the workshops can be configured in a number of ways to best meet your organisations needs.

A workshop based on the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® materials and methodology varies in number of participants and time depending on the topic.  Usually a one full-day session is effective. At its shortest, the session takes about three or four hours but can also be used as an icebreaker / energiser at a company conference. The longest sessions (generally when used for complex or challenging issues or when developing strategies, can run for up to three days.
